Our Design Process

At Golden Lake Memorials we do our best to explain what our process is so that you can decide on what you want your final project to incorporate. It is best to keep things simple so each step is clear along the way. We keep you informed so you always know what is happening with your project, giving you the chance to plan accordingly.

1. WE MEET WITH YOU

The first step is an in-person meeting with our staff. We'll arrange for you to meet at our showroom or bring our mobile showroom to you. We'll discuss your project in detail, listen to your ideas and create a plan.

2. MATERIAL GATHERING

Next, we'll work with you to gather the materials we'll need to complete the project. This might include pictures, handwritten notes, lists of names and dates, etc.

3. DESIGN PROOF

Finally, we'll send all of your materials and ideas to our designer, who will create a mockup of the design for your approval. We'll get your feedback on the design and continue to make changes until we get your final approval.

4. CREATION / DELIVERY

After you've signed off on the final proof, we'll begin the production process. Next, we'll arrange for delivery and installation of your finished piece.

Some customers know exactly what they want when they meet with us but most are a bit naive as to the number of design choices and possibilities there truly are. We listen and help you narrow your options by keeping to the important details and the story you want to tell.

Our designers are great at taking the variety of options you choose and combine them in ways that bring out the message or story you are trying to convey. The result is a design that moves from one element of the project to the next without looking unorganized.
